mosspower
Hello "presta shop friends",I have a little problem about the understanding of the file fields.phpAs far as I know, that file contains all mapping names for each database table column. Every html form field has the same name as the corresponing database columns. Here are my questions:1) What about the values in that files. For what do they stand for? How can I use them? Are they only existent for documentation reasons?2) Why can't I administrate all fields in the back-office? For example the currency table consists of 8 columns in the database, but I can only administrate 6 (blank and iso_code are missing) in the back-office under Admin -> Tools -> Translations -> FieldsDoes anybody know something about that architecture?I'm guite new to PHP and PrestaShop.Thx for any answers in advance! rocky
1. The fields.php file contains the translations for the fields only. It's only purpose is to store the translations that are set through Tools > Translations > Fields translations.2. I don't understand. You can set the iso code and blank values of a currency by going to Payment > Currencies and editing a currency.
mosspower
Thank you for your help.I know, that I can configure them under Payment -> Currencies ... but I can't add translations. I don't know why. When I go to Tools -> Translations -> Fielsds name translations (under tab Modify translations) -> Section currency, I see only 6 fields (name, sign, format, decimals, conversion_rate and deleted) ... why there aren't the fields iso_code and blank as well?Am I missing something here? rocky
Interesting. I never noticed that before. I'm not sure why some fields are missing from the translations. If you post this issue on the bug tracker, the PrestaShop team will have a look at it and let us know why.
