I am having a problem with my product reviews. I select an item but it shows different product name to what I selected to review.

Other product name but correct image. What do you mean by using url rwrite related 3rd party module? Im using leostyl theme and no 3rd party module installed for product reviews.

Have you tried with default theme? It could be related to the theme.

 

Also you may try to clear your browser cache and clear your store smarty cache to see if it is related.

With default theme not yet. Shokinro, how to clear the smarty cache? What would be the effect of that in my website? My website is running live.

you can delete files from following folders

 

/cache/smarty/cache/

/cache/smarty/compile/

Maybe I will try to update my Products Comment module, its working nice using Product comments module v3.5.1 on my test site and I'm currently using v3.3.9 on my live site. i will update you what will happen.

Shokinro, just so you know even deleting cache and smarty still the same.

Yes you can try to update the module to the latest version. It could be bug of old version of the modules.

Same issue even I updated the Product comments module version. I saw some forums regarding that issue but still no resolution. So me I edited the productcomments.tpl file and remove the product name and description to display. I display only image.

that's really strange, it could be a bug of the module.

also it could be caused by smarty variable been overwrite by some other module.

 

make sure the comment itself is linked to the correct product.

Maybe yes but I tried installing the newer version on my test site its working well using default theme. I'm using Leostyl theme for my live site. It is now look like this since I edited the code in productcomments.tpl much better than displaying wrong value.

I guess it is related to your theme.

 

you can try to copy the file (you know which file) from default theme to your new theme folder and see it it works.

if it is not Smarty variable overwritten issue, then it should work.
