I created a custom carrier for shipping but it doesn't show during checkout

As stated in the title, I created a custom carrier for shipping called just "Standard Shipping". We want to charge $5 shipping for orders under $100 in North America, and free shipping for orders $100 and more. I set the carrier to be available to the customer group "Retail Public", however when I log in to the front end with an account in that group, the new carrier does not show as an option during checkout.

 

What else do I need to do?

OK... I came back to the site the next day and now it's working. Do carrier settings get cached or something? Wierd.

if you use standard cache - it should not be cached, 

but.. maybe you use some caching module ? like express cache etc. ?
