Prestashop BackUP

Greeting everyone ! Currently trainee(intership) in a firm, my tutor gave me a task to create a complete copy of his prestashop  (only allowed to export and no modification), but everytime i try to import "theme" and "module", i either receive this kind of message

"The server is limited to 8M " or this :

 

 

Sadly what i saw on the front office was a blank page....

 

Here is my environnement and configuration :

  - Windows 10 64bit (install on a Mac computer)

  - 4 Go RAM

  - I5 processor

  - XAMPP

  - Notepad++

  - Prestashop 1.6.1.4

 

I already try to change post_max_fileSize and upload_max in php.in file. I even try with the backoffice administration>preference. I am wondering if there is no other way to fix this?

I am puzzled what you are doing.

 

The best way to copy a shop is to copy the files and the database. Re-installing is highly unusual and usually only done when the original is considered too unstable. 

 

As for the theme: did you check the file? Often the zipfile that you download from the seller is a cover that contains both the proper zip file and documentation. Be also aware that not all themes can be installed with the installation procedure of Prestashop. For example, some ask that you move some files below the themes directory of your shop.
