m0lly
Hello, I want to ask why some prestashop powered sites are detected using prestashop and some is undetected? Im just curious about this, when I take a look at my competitor i use builtwith.com to see what script the prestashop site use, sometimes i get a result that telling me that the site is using prestashop, and some is undetected that they use prestashop. is it because of the themes or is there any settings for this? Thanks!
Daresh
Some examples? If the code is cashed and minified it may be harder to detect Prestashop.
m0lly
Some examples? If the code is cashed and minified it may be harder to detect Prestashop. for example if I use buildwith.com this is a demo site showcase on prestashop website: http://builtwith.com/timefy.com i use buildwith and I can see that the site use prestashop for the ecommerce. but this is also the demo site showcase on prestashop website: http://builtwith.com/gretelhome.com we can see that it doesnt detect that the site is using prestashop. do you know why this happened ? is it because of the themes or theres a setting for that ? i find many themes that detected and some undetected. thanks for the help
Daresh
Probably this tools is based on the "generator" meta tag. The first site has this tag set to "Prestashop", on the second one it's absent.

Daresh
It's in header.tpl But a person familiar with Prestashop in most cases will be able to tell from the markup, link structure etc.
