Problem With Category Thumbnails

Hi,

 

I am running 1.6.1.0 and I have never been able to get thumbnails for each category and menu bars for each category to be different.

 

When I add an image to a category, it works as the thumbnail for the category but it also appears as the menu bar image for the category which looks wrong.

Am I doing something wrong with the settings?
