Shipping Rate Only Multiplies Once Based On Weight

Hi,

I'm running Prestashop 1.6

Here is what I have done:

I have setup a Shipping Carrier which can only ship up to a certain weight.

I also set a max package weight.

Item weight has been set also.

Here is what happens:

When a customer places 1 of the items in his cart, it shows the correct shipping.

When 2 are in the cart, the shipping duplicated. (this is correct)

When 3 are in the cart, the rate stays only at double.

Here is what I need:

How do I get the shipping rate to continue to multiply depending on how much weight there is?

I have attached screenshots to show my settings.

Please advise.

3 items in cart (wrong):

Thanks.

I think that the duplication of weight for the second item doesn't come from this carrier but from some other carrier that ships above the weight of 8. Am I right?

Have you tried not setting the weight of it but using the "additional shipping fees" setting? That would require having 0 shipping cost for products with the weight of 0 so only that additional cost will get taken into account.

Setting the shipping correctly in Prestashop can be complex, I'm close to developing a step by step algorithm that will help to set it in most cases regardless of products' weights and dimensions, but still need some time to describe it (you can subscribe by the link in my footer to get notified when it's ready :) )
