Iframes On Cms Pages

iframes in cms pages were working on my store just a few days ago -- I just did it as a quick test.

 

now that I have added a proper page as an iframe it doesn't work. 

 

When I press save & preview it just shows a white screen and keeps loading but nothing happens.

 

This will actually make the entire site unavailable for a few minutes and then it returns.

 

Any ideas?

 

 

iframes is turned on from Preferences - General

 

I believe that I have the made the required changes for extended MCE / Validator months ago.

 

It was working a few days ago with a random html file I used just to test.

So the problem is only if I press Save and Preview.

If I press Save the pages saves and I can then make id displayable and it works fine.

 

If I press Save and Preview the whole site crashes.
 

Obviously I can work around this but don't like that it does this as it could be a sign of something more serious especially since now I am also having issues with CMS categories -- I can only add pages to categories that previously existed. Any new ones I add are created but I can't add pages to them

you're trying to load inside iframe unsecured (http) website while you're browsing back office via secured protocol (https) ?
