Override Module Behaviour In Theme

Hello everyone!

 

I am going to change sendtoafriend module behaviour: to add more fields to front-end form and to change front-end form look.

 

As far as I get from official PS documnetation module can be overriden once:

 

 

 

Overrides in PrestaShop are exclusive. This means that if your module overrides one of PrestaShop's behaviors, another module will not be able to use that behavior properly, or override it in an predictable way.

 

  I use default bootstrap theme with PS 1.6.1.3.

 

So I have sendtoafriend module in the root /modules/sendtoafriend folder and also I have sendtoafriend module at my theme folder /public_html/themes/default-bootstrap/modules/sendtoafriend.

 

Does it mean that this module is already "overridden"?

And if I need to change its behaviour do I need to tweak module files under theme folder?

Yes, this allows a theme to change the behavior of a core module
