New Products Icon

I have not found this issue addressed in the forums. When you enter a new product and then go to the category that lists the products there is a 'New" icon that appears. I have a few questions regarding this:

1. How long does the "New" icon stay active?

2. Is there a way to turn it off?

3. Is there a way to select some products as "New" with the icon and have other products without "New" icon.

I did not see a feature in the admin where we could select that option. If there is not one shouldn't there be one since this is a feature many stores would want to use?

Depends on what you set it to in BO > Preferences > Products
Products is found on the second row of the menu row up top under the tabs.

3. Is there a way to select some products as "New" with the icon and have other products without "New" icon.

I don't think so. I haven't found it yet
