Possible to create pre-sale price?

Hi presta. i want to hear if its possible to show an ealier price for a product on sale. so people can see that the price was like 99dollars before but 49 dollars now. Like this:

hi, I think you can accomplish this by adding a specific price, there may be others.

 

back office-->catalog-->products-->edit product-->add new specific price (59.90).

 

Then you  should see something similar to what you want....

 

note: front page may require a clear cache from performance screen to show discounts.
