Anyone purchase these books?

Hi everyone,

 

I found out 2 books released recently for prestashop

Do you think this book is a recommended buy? Is Alex Manfield a prominent figure in prestashop community?

I haven't bought these ones, but I have bought Prestashop Module Development written by an ex Prestashop developer. If you want to extend Prestashop with the help of writing modules, this book will definetely help you do that.

yeah, i just got that book too. But somehow the github codes aren't working. Do you face any issues too?

I haven't downloaded the github sources, so I'm afraid I can't help with that. When I bought it I've been developing modules for some time, so I didn't really needed them. The motivation behind buying it was a huge bunch of curiosity to find maybe some more tips & tricks in such a book. So I only looked in it's content, not on any external sources. But I found it well written, why I suggest it to others.
