Changes will not save

Hi,

 

I'm having a major problem updating stock items.

On some items (not all) I cannot make changes to the short description or the meta title and description. The following error appears:

 

Property Product->meta_description is not valid

 

If I delete the SEO content and the short description from the information page and then save it, I get the same error again with the SEO content now gone but the short description on information page back to what it was.

 

I have searched and searched for a solution to this and nothing is apparent. No matter what I do I can't change the short description.

 

Clearly, everything IS valid, it's been valid for more than a year with no errors appearing. I have no idea why this is showing up now, but it's one of several problems I've been having with Prestashop this week.

 

Can anyone offer me any assistance with this? I really need to update products but right now there are some major items I can seemingly do NOTHING with.
