Hi there,

I'm not selling the products yet, just getting comfortable with prestashop and to have a preview.

But after uploading some picture's to my products they showed correct in my behind the scenes products but as soon as I looked at my site they were all large ' ? '

Could anybody help me ?

Thanks a lot !

Edit the image in paint> cut the image and paste it in a new paint file and save it. Then upload the new paint file.

Hope your problem is solved.

Thanks a lot for the quick response. However, it did not work...

I've got my image settings on "Use PNG if the image is PNG. I opened the picture in paint, selected it and saved it as a PNG but it did not work :(

Your images are created ok

http://allwinning.nl/img/p/2/5/25-home_default.jpg

but for some reason it does not display when Friendly url is activated

So try to disable friendly urls first and test, then get back to enabled. That should also regenerate .htaccess file

and maybe it will help. Also clear cache in Advanced Preferences >Performance.

Go to Backoffice>Preferences>Images> Image format>JPEG.

Then upload JPEG images.

This would definitely solve your problem.

the problem with only JPEG will be that my logo will not have a transparent background, which means a white square box around it...

I'll try it out anyway :)

Hi there ,

It all worked with the friendly url's disabled, but i never switched it back on. Do you know another way to make it work with the friendly url enabled

Thanks ,

Alwin

You should keep friendly urls on and when that is on check if you have .htaccess file in your root folder.

Also on what hosting and what type  are you ?

Check Advanced parameters > Configuration information maybe some error there could help you out.
