remoteONE
Feature Request... (is there Feature Request forum?) Im just starting with Prestashop and finding things quite different to my previous cart software. I find navigating and managing the Categories pages frustrating in PS. If there was a Categories Tree view, say in the left column, just as would be seen in Windows Explorer. Being able to Clone and move cats would be an advantage, but just the Tree view would be a big plus to usability.
PrestaHeroes USA
Hi, you can open a feature request (or bug) here: http://forge.prestashop.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa this is best way to communicate with PrestaShop developers.
remoteONE
Thanks for the link, It seems to be a bug reporting system rather than a means to suggest a feature request. Anyway, I just cannot seem to manage the categories. Surely PS is by default supposed to show a categories tree in the backend. Its almost impossible to see whats going on without a tree and linked to product list!!! I know there are Windows programs available like the Store Manager for PrestaShop but, it just will not connect to our database., even after whitelisting IPA. I want to be able to easily manage Categories from the backend. Update , Ive logged a Bug at http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCSX-6741 Now that Ive been battling with it for a while, I see that the lack of Cat Tree is the least of the problems and thas it isnt working properly at all. Parent categorie settings dont stick, and images are interfering with the display of the "parent Category Box..... Not off to a good start with Prestashop...
