Product Images as question marks in Admin Catalog

Dear Community,

 

Prestashop version 1.6.0.5

I cleared smarty cache manually, i.e. logged in through ftp client and deleted content of the folders:

 

cache/smarty/cache

cache/smarty/compile

 

now when I go to catalog > Products in admin panel

i get list of products, but product images are all question marks.

 

when I go inside the product > images I can see product images

also at the front store all images are also shown

 

I tried to re-generate thumbnails

small_default image type is active

tried to force compile smarty

 

was not successfull yet.

 

What could be the reason?

The folder /img and it's sub-folders have wiriting rights of 0755 at least ? Please check the chmod on your FTP.

thanks for your advise.

Yes chmods are set to 0755 for img and all subfolders.

 

product images are properly displayed everywhere at the web site,

just in the catalog of admin panel I get questionmarks.

 

i tried to add new products as a test, images for new products are also displayed as questionmarks in the catalog

but inside the product i can see all images.
