SpaceJump
I have PrestaShop 1.6.0.14 that gives me a white blank page in the checkout process after choosing the payment method. I have two payment methods (bankwire and Cash on delivery) and it happens with both. So I turned on the error messages and this is the error message I get: Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /kunden/462927_28203/webseiten/modules/bankwire/translations/de.php:1) in /kunden/462927_28203/webseiten/classes/Tools.php on line 112 Any idea what this means and how I can fix it? I manually edited the de.php translations of both payment methods, but I'm not sure if it worked before because this is the first time I place an order after configuring a bit. Can the manual edit have something to do with it (I just used Notepad)? Thanks in advance! EDIT: I just deleted the de.php translation file of the bankwire module and it works (now in English of course). I thought I can edit these translations in a text editor? I cannot edit them in Backend because of the max input problem and couldn't solve. Edited June 27, 2015 by SpaceJump (see edit history)
outlet.ee
I had similar problem but not related to translations - there was missing URL rewrite for bankwire order-confirmation. You can check it in preferences -> SEO.
SpaceJump
Thank you for your answer. The question now is, why am I getting this error if I manually edit the translation file (de.php) of bankwire module.
outlet.ee
What are you editing it with? Might be encoding problem, hidden characters etc, if you manually edit.
SpaceJump
I tried with the standard Windows Notepad editor and an HTML Editor, both resulting in that error message in the first post.
tuk66
Can you post that file?
outlet.ee
Just in case, try with notepad++ and try different encodings ,and see if the character count changes on the status bar on the bottom.
SpaceJump
Can you post that file? Here you go. tuk66
Try to remove return $_MODULE; at the bottom.
SpaceJump
Try to remove return $_MODULE; at the bottom. Doesn't work, same error message. That line can also be found in the original de.php file.
tuk66
You are right. Most translation files don't have this line, just some.
SpaceJump
Ok, so what could be the problem. Anything wrong with my file?
tuk66
Who knows. It needs to be debugged.
