Charles T.
Hi, I'd like to have several aspect ratio for my product pictures. I'm selling both CDs and books. CDs are square and books are rectangles. Something like that : If I setup a square aspect ratio, books will look ridiculous with their white background on a blue page. Basically, i'd like to have only the width of the corresponding image_type to be taken into account when resizing. The height would be proportional to the original picture. What do you think would be the best approach to this ? I'd about to change all the controller resizing part but it might be a bit overkill. Is there an easier solution ? I couldn't find any module doing just that. Thanks for your help, Charles
tuk66
You can have several image formats and use different for every product according to an condition (category, tag, manufacturer).
Charles T.
Thanks for your reply. I don't see where I can do that in the admin. Moreover, that would be OK for single image products but let's say that I have several image formats for a single product (CD cover + wide double page + photo of the artist for instance). That would require several formats for a single product. Thanks, Charles
tuk66
Preferences > Images My idea is to have more product image formats, let's say 3. You will use just one in your theme. Which one, it depends on "something".
Charles T.
That is a great idea, but i'm afraid that the "something" you're talking about is only "original size ratio". Moreover I don't know the ratio of the images that would be inserted (that wasn't clear in my original post, my bad). Maybe someone will insert a 1000x200 px picture at some point. I can't predict all the image ratios that would be used. Thanks for your brain time though, i really appreciate it. Charles
