bazasbooks Posted June 9, 2015 Share Posted June 9, 2015 Hi guys I have unhooked categories block from the footer (don't know what it was doing there) disabled the top horizontal menu. Now categories won't appear in the left column like it used to back in the good old days. Help!! needed it's says it's hooked!!! Why won't it appear?? shacker Posted June 15, 2015 Share Posted June 15, 2015 ok, First, try to uninstall and isntall again. And configure it, configure to show it always. Categories is hidden in home, but check if in some categories you see it (go inside a product and with the breadcumb go to a categorie) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

bazasbooks Posted June 23, 2015 Author Share Posted June 23, 2015 Hi Shacker thanks for the offer of help I have deleted everything and I am going for a fresh install of the default template. I need to deactivate the top menu and reactivate the old category menu as I have too many categories for the top menu. I will reinstall and then if I get the same problem again I will give you admin to see if you can help me. Probably tomorrow sometime? vekia Posted June 23, 2015 Share Posted June 23, 2015 i just want to add that it is worth to check configuration of the module (block categories) it contains feature to display this block only if viewed page contains subcategories. it means that block with categories will appear only on category pages that have subcategories so, perhaps this is why you had problems with this block.
