Emails not working

After upgrading PS from 1.4 to 1.6.0.9 emails stopped working. Upgrading to 1.6.0.14 didnt help. What can i do to check where the problem with sending emails is? 

By email i mean test email, mails after completing order both to shop owner and customer etc.

please verify what kind of email method your shop use

sometimes when shop uses "PHP MAILER" - mail will not work

this is why it's worth to switch emal method to SMTP

 

you can do it under adv. parameters > email menu item in your back office.

I have an issue in my prestashop module. I used the function Mail::send(....) . The function returns me the int(1), which seems to be successfull but i don't receive email on the address i provided as recipient.

 

I am working on local server , xamp, apache. I verified that ssl extention is also enabled in php.ini. The prestashop version i am working on is 1.6.x
