Twinkles
Hello, I am using PS 1.462, but my server company are going to update MYSQL from 5.1 to the latest secure version. Will it break my store if they do this?
TribalDexterD
Hi, If you see in the prestashop requirements you can read: System: Unix, Linux or Windows. Unix is highly recommended. Web server: Apache Web server 1.3 or later. PHP 5.2 or later. (You may have to activate PHP 5 on your hosting service, see below.) MySQL 5.0 or later. At least 32 Mb of RAM on your server (64 Mb is comfy, the more the better). So, if your server company are going to update MySQL to the latest version there should be no problems but I cann't give you the certainty. bellini13
but those requirements are likely stated for the latest version of Prestshop (1.6). Since you are using PS v1.4, it may not work, since the mysql libraries are quite old. If you have no choice in the matter, then you can just try it and see if it works. alternatively, you could install a clean version of PS v1.4 on a server running the latest Mysql version, and test it.
