Fashioncat
I have done a fresh install of prestashop 1.2.5 and cant get the payment options to work. When doing a checkout with CODthe following message gets returned [an error occurred while processing this directive].When using paypal 1.6 the chekcout goes as normal you can pay through paypal and both customer and me get the confirmation mail from PP, but on returning to the store the items are still in the cart and no order has been logged in the BO.Tried installing the Paypal2.0 beta2 but then I end up with the same error message as for COD.Anyone up for the challenge? tomerg3
Is your shop set to "Private" or do you have any other password protection on your site?As for the COD error, can you provide the full , preferably as a screenshot
Fashioncat
Hi, no it is not in private or with protection, as our old store is running in the background I found that they can run parallell for the troubleshooting and any orders and logons registered on the prestashop site is just for testing and will be deleted again when ready to open it.The screenshot for the COD error doesnt contain much but here it is. Fashioncat
I also have run the phpinfo and you can get the results from that one here.http://fashioncat.no/test.php
tomerg3
You have permissions problems. If your files (in /modules) are set to 777, change them to 755.To get the exact error, you should check your hosting company error log (from your cpanel).Ones you fix it, you should be able to access www.fashioncart.no/modules/cashondelivery/validation.php without getting that error (it's an error 500). tomerg3
Thanks, PM sent Your /modules directory was set to 777, which is a really bad thing to have. It's so bad, the most hosting companies now won't let files inside run, which was the case here.I have changed it to 755 and it seems to be working just fine now. Fashioncat
Thank you it seems like everything is functioning as it should now. To my defense I have to say that it states very clearly in the installation guide in the Wiki here that the specified folders hould be set to 777.So what do I owe you? tomerg3
You can send me a donation on my site, whatever you want is fine with me Different hosts use different permission settings, but the instructions should really be changed, it's better to error on the safe side, and 777 is anything but safe. Mallee Boy
Tomerg,I noticed that you were able to help the other guy with COD. I have a site which works fine. I installed COD today but get "invalid order state" on the final screen of the check out.The order appears in customers history, but there is no order state listed. It also does not appear in BO orders. I have 755 on module folder and sub directories. any suggestions? I also noticed that there is no order state for this module under orders/statuses in the BO. tomerg3
Which version of Prestashop do you use?The only other problem I came across was related to mail, if your system is not sending out emails, because it is configured to use SMTP when it shouldn't, than COD would not work.If this is not the case, than I can't think of anything else, the only way to find out would be to take a closer look at your site. Mallee Boy
I use 1.2.5. I notice that there are no emails associated with this module in the mails folder. I have created a status for COD, since there was none, but i dont see how this would "connect" to the COD module.you are welcome to look more closely if you think it would help. permissions are 755 and for files 644 in this module. tomerg3
THere is no mail associated with it, but the general order confirmation gets sent when the order is placed, and if that return an error, than the order will not be completed. You do not need to add any order status for it, unless someone deleted it, prestashop has it already defined. Mallee Boy
OK, thanks. Can you account for the "invalid order state" that appears after i click on the "I Confirm my Order" button? It appears in plain type at teh top of my middle column. Also, the right column does not load. As i say, the order appears in the history - as a COD but without an order state and does not appear in BO orders at all. tomerg3
Sorry, I do not know, but as I said, with a fresh installation of prestashop, you don't need to make any changes for COD to work.

vongts
Hi!this is solution for this problem.http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/48792/#215420i thinks u should view error log file on your server then find errors have this word "writeable by group" --> this is common thing for 500 internal error.Goodluck
