Prestashop 1.6

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I need your help again, i am sure this is minor topic for you, but as i am a totla noob with this, and trying to run up my store by myself this is big issue for me .

I am running my store under default template of prestashop 1.6 So in middle of template there is one sliding banner which i succeed to set up with my own photos. Problem is when i put my photos the "arrows" that were present there have disapear. Arrows tht allows you to slide left or right. lets say i can live with this "bug" but i wish i can have them back.

Second problem is, tht next to this slider there were two banners. I did something ( i have no clue what i did) and they are gone. I cant find them in my modules, or anywhere to activate them back.

If i was not clear enough, please let me know ill try explain again .

Thank you for your support,

Hi standdown,

Do you have an error on your page? (In Chrome, Press Ctrl+Shift+J (Win)/ Cmd+Opt+J (Mac) and see if you have any error.) If so, maybe the javascript that controls these arrows i not executed and thus you have no arrows on the page.

Let us know,

pascal

The arrows are actually on the page, but somehow relocated far below the slider. Also, because your backgrounds are white, you won't see the arrows when placed on the images:

Maybe try this:

in file: themes/<your theme folder>css//modules/homeslider/homeslider.css, add this piece of code at the end of the file to relocate the arrows back on top of the images:

.bx-controls.bx-has-controls-direction {

     position: absolute;

     top: 100px;   // increase to move more down if you desire

     right: 10px;

}

To make the arrows visibe, maybe bake their background a little grey. To do so, in the same file, find this piece of code (line 130):  And change the red code

#homepage-slider .bx-wrapper .bx-controls-direction a:before {
    height: 48px;
    width: 48px;
    display: block;
    background: rgb(40, 40, 40);    // makes the background grey (used to be white)
    content: ".";
    opacity: 0.14;
    text-indent: -9999px;
    position: absolute;
    left: 0;
    top: 0;
    z-index: 1; }

Works OK with diverse screen sizes.

Hope this helps,

Hi standdown,

Not sure why, but the css doesn't like the comment I added to the code (at the end of your file):

.bx-controls.bx-has-controls-direction {

     position: absolute;

     top: 100px;   // increase to move more down if you desire

     right: 10px;

}

Take the comment out:
.bx-controls.bx-has-controls-direction {

     position: absolute;

     top: 100px;

     right: 10px;

}

and it should magically start working.

Hope this helps,
pascal.

Scidone,

please create a new topic, as your problem is something else than we discussed here.

1) Go to correct subforum (Development is probably a good choice)

2) Press the "Start New Topic" Button (on the right, but above the list of topics)

3) Write your question.

Hope this helps,

pascal.
