Search not working, user abandoned by Presta team

I wrote many times, this month, for a big problem with search.

 

I receive only 1 answer, spam. Nothing from Prestashop team.

 

The problem is this:

 

If I edit a product, after saving the product disappear from search results if the language selected is different from English.

 

Our main language is Italian.

 

PS 1.6.0.14

 

Search index rebuilted many times.

Which ID has your topic ? By using the search there, perhaps you will find a solution to your problem ?!

Did you used the search. You will find some fixes for the search and languages problem there.

Why so aggressive ? Are you expecting help or not ?

 

It is a known bug. Current indexation doesn't take into account if languages are active or not, but process every product/language entry found into the dabase. If some of your products still have EN description, they will appear again when re-indexing even if EN is disabled or deleted (it seems that language deletion empties the related search index, but not the product descriptions).

 

Please follow this debug topic: http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCSX-5028 It applies for all versions PS 1.6.0.11 up to latest.

 

Solution for the problem indexation with other languages is to rework or replace the file classes/Search.php :
