Redirect non-www url to www for multistore in 1.6 Mod rewrite does not work

I have exactly this problem:

I have tried this:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L]

And this, seperately from each other:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^shop1\.com
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.shop1.com/$1 [R=301,L]

Both are not working.

 

Does anyone have an idea?

I can send my .ht acces file by a private message.

If I remove the www and modify the htacces file again, then also the domain with the www. Is not working anymore.

it looks also a little bit strange:

 

We delete the www. before the url and then we start rewriting all the Urls to a www. url, which not exist in prestashop.

 

Or am I wrong?

rule of thumb, when adding to www or to no-www, have your urls in back office match case.

It is working, A clear cach has solved the problem.

 

Was not aware that a complete cache refresh was required.

 

Now changed all domains to with www. and added this piece of code:

have problems in multistore redirection from non-www to www version of each store

 

i have 3 stores in PS 1.6 that corretly redirect if url is www, instead putting each one without www, automatically i'm redirected to last (third) shop
