Product combinations in order description

In my online store I have several products that my customers can choose from. Some of these products have 6 attributes of which the customer can select 1 value. There are attributes with 2 values, but also 1 attribute with 8 values to choose from and 1 attribute with 3 values to choose from. All this results in a product that has 192 possible combinations. 

Now, here's my problem: once the customer has made his choice with this specific product, he places the order. I then receive an e-mail confirmation about the order, showing who ordered it and what has been ordered and here's where things are not going smoothly. What happens is that what has been ordered is not shown completely. It looks like the description of what is ordered exceeds the maximum number of characters. Even in the backstore when I check the ordered product of the customer, I get the same incomplete order description. If I have counted well, it looks like the maximum number of characters is 252. 

Can somebody please help me with this issue? Thank you in advance.

Common issue: login to the database, reach the ps_order_detail table, and change product_name to a bigger varchar (512) or simply to a TEXT type column
