How do I change the email that is sent out to the customer when they checkout?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

I have configured the shopping cart so that it does not accept payment but instead simply sends me a list of the products so that I can check them and then manually calculate any shipping....this is working well except that all of the emails that are being sent out say that the invoice has been paid...

There is text that says "Total Paid" that I would like to change....

Where are these templates hidden???

Thanks for your help.

Regards

Greg

Thanks for the quick reply!

Unfortunately, I have looked and tried a few changes in the Translations section without any luck....I have a feeling that there is an HTML file somewhere that needs to be changed...

Any other ideas?

Greg

Hi again Paul

If I change the html template that is in /mails/<lang> it all works fine.

In the /themes/<theme_name>/mails/<lang> folder there is also a "order_conf.html" file and I had assumed that this was the template that was being used but if I change it, it ignores it and always uses the template in /mails/<lang>.....

I though that it should be using the "theme's" version of the template???

Anu ideas?

Regards

Greg

yes, that is odd, it should be using the one from the themes folder, as that is where prestashop will pull from first.  it is also where the back office will save changes to email templates if you change them in the back office.

but if you are using ps v1.6.0.9, there is a bug that will break the store so don't bother using the back office, just manually edit them.
