MathiasReker
I am planning to build a new prestashop website. Would you recommend to download 1.6.0.14 from prestashop.com, or from github.com?I am thinking that from github is more up to date? Or should I just merge som few files? And also is 1.6.0.14 ready for website production?
bellini13
My suggestion would be to use PS v1.6.0.9 And also is 1.6.0.14 ready for website production? This was just released a couple of days ago. Only you can answer if this is ready for your production website, based on various factors including catalogue size and number of visitors and orders your expect to receive. MathiasReker
Why PS v1.6.0.9? The shop need to handle 50-100 orders / day. 5000 products
El Patron
1.6.0.9 is fine but then you are going to miss out on many new things and of course fixes that are in 1.6.0.14 I recommend 1.6.0.14....
MathiasReker
If I build my store in 1.6.0.14, would it run smooth or is there still some unstable functions?
bellini13
it has only been released for 2 days, who knows how it will perform. .14 also does not include any new features, only a bug fix for certain module naming v1.6.0.9 is mature and very stable, issues are well known with solutions. However, as I said originally, only you can decide what version is best for you and your needs
SLiCK_303
Anything from github is NOT production ready, don't use that. .14 contains a bunch of developer bloat that doesn't belong there, so I wouldn't use it either. I would use .13, with the 3 files they fixed from .14. /classes/Validate.php /classes/module/Module.php /controllers/admin/AdminModulesController.php Edited March 9, 2015 by SLiCK_303 (see edit history)
