Free shipping based on type of product.

Hi everyone,

I have an existing site containing new and used mobile phones (cell phones) and we are just expanding into batteries and other accessories. The owner would like to have all batteries as free shipping while keeping the flat rate shipping charge already in place for the phone sales.

My question is, how do I go about setting free shipping for all mobile phone batteries sold while keeping existing shipping prices for phones.

Currently:
All shipping for phones in Australia is $10
All shipping for phones to New Zealand is $30

We want:
All shipping for phones in Australia is $10
All shipping for phones to New Zealand is $30
All shipping for batteries is FREE

Can you add the battery as a combination for the product to add, with a zero weight and just add a note in the short description, that shipping is free for that item (as a bonus)? Then add a another weight range in shipping weight is 0-20g with 0.00 shipping?

I have tried your sollution but prestashop ignores it and shows all carriers. Do you know why?

probably doing something with weights is going to be the way i would look into it. i dont have a specific example of having done it though. it would be nice if we could set a category to have free shipping.

I have solved this by using weight. I have added a shipping method between 0.1-0.5 kilo that is free. Then its only to make weight of all other products higher the 0.5 kilo
