Thickbox working only on some products

I know the thickbox issues have been tackled here in several threads but what I am encountering at the moment is a bit different from what I've seen around.

 

The problem is that the thickbox works just fine for most of the products.

It doesn't kick in, though, on some situations:

-> on newly added products (on image click I get full picture in new page

-> randomly on other products (not many) with same result on click. I did not find anything that these products could have in common (category, image format, database integrity and so on.

Error reporting shows nothing special on the simple image page.

PS: I add that the product.js is the default one, untouched, the PS version is 1.6.0.11 and that the CCC setup is: 

Smart cache for CSS

NO

Smart cache for JavaScript

YES

Minify HTML

YES

Compress inline JavaScript in HTML (I tried both on and off to no avail)

YES

Move JavaScript to the end

YES

I took the site out of maintenance mode shortly after you mentioned it.

The thing is the thickbox started working on all products all by itself, over time.

I know there's no such thing as IT miracles ) but I did not work on the matter since.
Perhaps the cache cleared (but I've cleared it before too) or something else happened.

I think I will mark this as "solved" just to close the thread :/
