deepee Posted January 29, 2015 Share Posted January 29, 2015 Hi All I have been working on a 1.6.0.9 shop and noticed that when adding a product to a shopping cart, another unrelated product gets added without having been selected. This behaviour is intermittent as sometimes it doesn't happen. The products it happens with appear random and I'm unable to see a pattern. I just upgraded to 1.6.0.11 hoping that would solve it but it's still there. Tried clearing caches etc, checking error logs but can't identify any abnormal issues. Anyone seen this before? vekia Posted January 29, 2015 Share Posted January 29, 2015 go to ps_cart table, check MAX cart id value there then go to ps_cart_products table, what is your max ID number there? is max cart id from ps_cart bigger than id from ps_cart_products ? deepee Posted February 2, 2015 Author Share Posted February 2, 2015 I have been testing this further and tried emptying those two tables. It seemed o.k. at first and I could add a product. However when I selected "continue shopping" the product disappeared from the cart. I can see the entries in the ps_cart and ps_cart_product fields but they will not show in the cart or in the checkout process. I then restored my database from the backup and surprisingly everything was working properly. I could add and delete products from the cart and nothing was duplicated. Started a new session in IE with a permanently cleared cache and it added 5 products on the first product I selected! It all went downhill again from there. It turns out that the customer had been adding new products by duplicating existing similar products, over the past week. The problem was that they had not been generating new friendly URLs!
