Best module available for filtered search?

HI,

 

I am having a bit of an issue. I am looking for a search module that enables the user to import a CSV file with the filters they require. For example, I have a list of 10,000 vehicle variants thus it is mandatory for the search filter to be able to upload the CSV file in accordance to make model and engine size. The front end also needs to be able to filter the parts for make -> model -> engine size.

 

Any suggestions? I have used Presteamshops advanced searchand personally did not fill the purpose i required it for.

if your category tree structure is based on "brand > model > year" you can use ajax dropdown categories filter module

example of modules:

Hi,

 

This could work actually (just a matter of refactoring my uploaded products). If I use this, can I have one product associated to multiple vehicles then? i.e. say if I 1 one oil called TESTER that is suited for a Ford Mondeo 1.9 and a Jaguar X Type and BMW 320d, would that need to be uploaded with 3 seperate oils of the same thing or can it be refactored into 1 single product listing?

 

Also, if the above is true, how can I refactor it so that one oil can suit 10,000 cars? Can I have it linked to a hidden field (we discuessed this on another topic) like below:
