Sending order confirmation before idealpayment

Trying to use Prestashop for our webshop and almost ready filling and installing.

 

 

There's only one bug I can't figure out. 

 

 

When making a testorder the order confirmation is send before the payment is done. 

 

 

In steps:

 

Last step in finishing an order is to choose the payment method.

 

Then I click on the idealbutton to pay withe ideal.

 

The ideal page shows nicely.

 

Then just clicking the idealbutton an email is sent with the order confirmation.

 

 

Strange thing is that the status of an order contains no 'e-mail to client' mark. (See image for clarification)

 

It would be perfect if the order confirmation e-mail is sent after the order is paid. But unfortunately it's not.

 

 

I am using the idealcheckout module.

 

 

Anyone with a similar problem or a solution?

perhaps the ideal payment module, or even ideal gateway, is sending the order confirmation email, and not Prestashop?

Found the answer I was looking for by contacting the programmers of idealcheckout. The confirmation e-mail is send before the payment because of prestashop is designed to create the order before the payment. No bug just another way.

 

 

Te respond to your question, the e-mail is send by prestashops order_conf template. 

 

For now there is no solution. Workaround will be for me to change the confirmation e-mail.

Actually it is quite the opposite, Prestashop is designed to create the order after the payment is processed.  I suspect you either did not understand what they said, or they are not explaining how their module works.

 

I suspect the idealcheckout module is actually creating the order before the payment is processed.  Prestashop will send the order confirmation email whenever an order is created.

 

If this is not how you want it to function, then you should ask the idealcheckout programmers to change their module.
