three problems distorted photos and customer comments, information

Dear prestashop friends and experts

Please help me with two problems that diminish the professional overall look of my website.

Firstly, when I open my photos in a larger viewscape, they are distorted and wider than normal, looks horrible.

Secondly, my customers want to leave feedback and although I have enabled the module in back office it does not work.

Thirdly, where do I go to post information on my home page please. My webmaster put the bones of the site together and I have no idea how to access. I can cope with prestashop pretty well and upload regularly photos, text, update general information etc. but I have never been to ftp etc. Scares me to death. If any prestashop wizz kids could help me with this I would be willing to pay of course.
