Taxes Not Calculating/Taxes Not Working

Using 1.6.0.6 with photo attached.

 

Tax Included and Tax Excluded prices are the same. Should be 8.875% different.

 

I've reset all countries, states, and zones and saved different taxes scenarios.

 

Anyone know this issue?

Is a solution to reinstall Prestashop sometimes?

Is there a better way in which I can explain the issue to get some ideas from the forum on why taxes are not calculating on products.

Please login from store side to check if the tax get added to the base price and shows final retail price.

if you have multlple tax rules setup for each states, the retail price would be calculated based on the address after login in store side. Admin product page would not add tax to retail price.

If you have only one tax rule for whole country, then retail price would add tax to base price on the admin product page.

After logging into the store side with an address that is a taxable address I do not get the tax added.

 

Settings:

 

Zone: North America

Country: United States

State: New York

Tax for New York: 8.875

 

In the product I have: Tax Rule: US-NY Rate 8.875%

Issue Solved:

 

Steps to get the taxes working and pitfalls:

 

(1) Configure Zones desired.

(2) Configure Countries desired.

(3) Configure States desired.

(4) Enable taxes.

(5) Create a tax rule and associate proper countries below it.

(6) Add the tax on the product.

 

Pitfalls:

 

(1) When troubleshooting and importing countries, states, languages, etc a duplicate entry might occur.

 

(2) Clear your browser's cache.

 

(3) Updating modules might create issues.
