davekeller
Hi there, Since I updated PrestaShop to 1.6.0.6 (I don't know if this is the cause, or just a coincidence) yesterday morning, the stats in PrestaShop are reporting a massive increase in traffic (500% increase). Google analytics is not reporting this increase so I'm assuming it's a bot (that is not triggering the GA javascript tag). Does anyone know how I might see where the traffic is coming from, IP address for example? At the moment all I can see PrestaShop in the origin ("Direct link"). Do I have to "Save direct traffic" in Stats > referrers? Sorry, new to Prestashop - any help would be greartly appreicated!
bellini13
Go to your hosting control panel and locate the access logs, you can then view the raw access requests
davekeller
Thanks Bellini - can you recommend a decent report (cPanel)? I've checked a few and the reports in general don't reflect the huge spike I see in PrestaShop BO, this one for example shows no increase in visits. However, not sure if this report includes bot traffic:
davekeller
Update on this - Prestashop is reporting a huge spike in visitors since I upgraded to 1.6.0.6. My access logs and Google analytics do not reflect the spike. I have upgrade the stats modules but the spike continues. Does anyone have any advice on how to troubleshoot this further? Thanks!
