Top Menu Search

Hello all, I am wondering if there is a way to add an icon or maybe just text that says "search" inside the search window that you can add to the top menu via the module configuration. Is that possible?

The search bar once enabled is compact and nice but it looks so lonely there nothing that indicates that it is a search window. Thank you in advance.

yes it most certainly is possible, you can insert any text into the input search field by opening the appropriate moule and writing this

placeholder="{l s='Search...' mod='NameOfModule'}"

inside that input field. If you don't need the search to be translatable, simply edit the mod out of the string. 

 

Btw, link to your website might be helpful, as we can then identify the module that you're using.

it doesnt work on opera mobile...

Thank you for the help guys, Is there any other way to get text in the search bar? Or maybe adding a button? Something that helps recognize the bar as a search engine? Thank  you.
