Problem with New Product Block and Featured Product

I am using Prestashop 1.5.6.2 for my website, I have installed New Product Block module and Featured Product on the homepage Module, Now i have having below error / problem while displaying new products.

 

1) When i upload a new product and associate with "Home" category it displayes that product in both "new product block" and "featured product block".

 

2) When i upload a new product and DO NOT ASSOCIATE it with "home" category it does not display the product in any of the above blocks

 

Number of days for which the product is considered 'new' is kept 10 Days

 

Pls guide me on the same on how to proceed further.

try to reinitialize the module blockspecial and configure it

 

are you on default theme ?

if not they are native module of PS or module of the theme

Pls help, the problem is really getting worst..really dont know what to do..

Did a reset of the module to try to get the lower numbered items to appear. now featured products does not appear at all. PS version 1.5.6.0.

tried uninstall, reinstall, configure. still nothing ?

 

worked for a year no problem until I did a reset ?
