Problems with Paypal on Checkout and Downloadable Products

Hello. I just downloaded and installed the R5 version. So far, I love what I see. I have a good deal of experience with Joomla/Virtuemart & Zen Cart, so I feel like I am pretty savvy with ecommerce programs. However, I cannot get the downloadable products file uploaded with my product. It tells me that the product does not exist.

Additionally, when you purchase a product via paypal, the money gets sent to me via paypal, but does not show up as an order under the customer's account or on the backoffice for me to see. Are there any fixes for this?

I thought that I had followed the instructions very closely.

I had exactly the same problem and was positive I had double checked everything!!

Anyway take a look at paypal --> profile --. instant payment notification preferences....then check and re-check the IPN URL!

It should be something like:-

http://www.mydomain/modules/paypal/validation.php (If your PS setup is in your www folder)

or

http://www.mydomain/subfolder/modules/paypal/validation.php (If your PS setup is in a sub directory.

My problem was actually because I moved PS from a subfolder but forgot to change paypal config. Therfor it was not verifying the order on my site but i was still getting paid.

Thanks. That solved my paypal issue. Originally, I had tried out the ssl version and the url still had the https in the name instead of just http. Once I changed it, it worked.

I still cannot upload my virtual products. They are all over 2m. I have tried editing my htaccess file, but then nothing in my system works. Can anyone help me with that?

I've looked at the other posts and tried everything that was mentioned.

Good to hear the first is sorted.

Ill have a look at the second problem. Im not a programmer but I love messing around with it and seeing what happens.
