Upgrade only database from 1.4.7.0 to 1.5.6.0

Hi,

 

Is there a way to upgrade only a database built in a 1.4.7.0 shop, to a database use able in a 1.5.6.0 shop ?

 

I have an active shop built with Prestashop 1.4.7.0

 

I developed and customised a sub trial shop built with Prestashop 1.5.6.0.

 

Now, I would like to use the data of the active shop in the 1.5.6.0 shop.

Duplicate your 1.4.7 store, upgrade it, dump the db and import it into the 1.5.6 install You have to use the autoupgrade module and choose minor release as upgrade option, but you  also need to download that manually an place it into the admin/autoupgrade folder

What do I have to download manually ?

 

Would it be possible to give me a step by step method (to upgrade only the database) ?

Sorry I've not been clear. You have to download the archive containing the prestashop version you want to upgrade to, and place it where I mentioned

Hi,

I will try to explain more precisely what would be my request.

I have a current active shop built with Prestashop 1.4.7.0 (with thousands of items and tens of thousands of images). Such shop is deeply customized (in terms of theme, modules, and also of amendment of several php files).

My goal is to upgrade to Prestashop 1.5.6.0.
To make this upgrade I followed the here below steps :

A- last November :
1- In a sub folder, I made a copy of the active shop
2- I made a copy of the 1.4.7.0 database shop and allowed this shop to use a copy of the active database
3- I upgraded this sub trial shop to Prestashop 1.5.6.0 by using the 1-Click Upgrade AutoUpgrade module
Of course this trial shop in set as under maintenance and has only a private access

B- from last November to May 2014 :
4- I customized this sub 1.5.6.0 trial shop to my requirements.
Between November and May, the active 1.4.7.0 shop database continued to grow by addition of items, images, customers, orders,...

C- Now :
5- I would like to upgrade only the database of the active 1.4.7.0 shop to a database use able in my 1.5.6.0 customized shop.
Then, I plan to amend the settings.inc.php file in order to use the newly upgraded data base.

So, is there a way (please step by step) to upgrade only the database (from a 1.4.7.0 structure into a 1.5.6.0 structure) ?

I am looking at the autoupgrade module code to find the what upgrades the database, because I have the same issue. Will write if succeeded any help or suggestion is highly welcomed
