Questions about Carriers + Locations

Hi guys,

 

New guy here and glad to be apart of this community. Looks active with several very senior staffs is good

 

I have installed the latest PrestaShop and I have issue setting up Carriers.

 

Basically, I am living in Malaysia and I am looking to create shippings and carriers depending on:

1. Country specific

2. Charges

 

From my BO, I only have the option for specific regions but not countries. Any suggestions how I can do this?

 

I am also aware that there is a 'wildcard' extension I could use but just wondering if there is another way out?

 

I tried to follow this (http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/58458-solved-advice-regarding-setting-up-shipping/) but I  believe it is not for the latest version.

 

Any suggestion please?

If you want to setup fees specifically for each country you can either create a zone for each (ugh, troublesome), or mass-group them differently; or you can try a paid module named localized shipping by presto changeo, I tried it and works quite well

Thanks for replying. I think I understand what you mean by Zone (yes, which is extreme puzzling ~haha).

 

Do you mind sharing (roughly) how to mass group them? This seems interesting!

 

Yeah I saw the module and it looks good. But for a starting company, we are trying to keep our expenditure as low as possible. So, might resort to that if that's the worst case scenario.

Gonna close this. I think I found the solution by craeting Zone and configure it along with the right Country.
