kognito
Hi guys, I have just transferred a PrestaShop installation (v1.5.6.2) to my localhost installation and for some reason the calculation of taxes in the back office doesn't work. The pre-tax price and retail price are always the same: In a fresh installation on the same system the calculation is working without problems, so I'm guessing something might be off in the database. The tax doesn't get added in the shopping cart either, which is not too bad, I would only need the tax amount on the PDF invoice. I have set up a tax rule for my country which is in a zone, all customers groups are set to include tax, so as far as I can see everything is setup correctly. If I manually create a new order in the back office, the tax is added on top of the product price. So some tax calculation seems to be working, but obviously the tax should be included in the product price. Since this is running locally, I'm happy to post screenshots if you need any more information! Is there otherwise a way to transfer the existing products, theme, modules and settings to the fresh installation with the working tax calculation? Thanks for your help! tuk66
That calculation is done by JavaScript. Can you see JavaScript errors in Back Office which could block calculation?
kognito
Hi there, this is what I get in the console when on the product pricing page: However, the file "jquery-1.7.2.min.js" is actually in the correct location and I can see the contents. If I'm creating a new order in the backend, where taxes are added on top of the product prices, I don't get any error messages in the console. Is there a way to actually see the price calculation happening in the browser? Cheers Clemens
tuk66
Try to debug JavaScript in Firebug. Anyway, how is the price after saving? It should be correct.
