benwiggy
Surely everyone wants to delete the demo data that comes with PS? Is there an easy way to do this? I've never found a way of doing it in the past without corrupting the database.
vekia
you can disable these datas on your dashboard (statistics) and also use module called prestashop cleaner (it's native prestashop addon, of course - it's free) with this addon you can clean your shop
benwiggy
I can't see anything in Dashboard. There's no submenu called "Statistics". I tried the add-on module in an earlier version, but I didn't have much success with that either.
Yzzy
Go to your dashboard.. look right at the bottom... switch demo mode to no... :-)
benwiggy
Does the Dashboard method merely hid the data, or actually delete it? Because I'm getting categories starting with IDs in the 20s. The whole point of deleting the dummy data is to have category IDs the same as my old shop.
benwiggy
NO. Turning off the dummy data in the Dashboard does not delete the dummy data. I've still got Printed Dresses in my Products. Edited April 18, 2014 by benwiggy (see edit history)
vekia
this is why i mentioned "prestashop cleaner" addon you can clear shop database with this native prestashop module.
benwiggy
Yes, that seems to have worked. And fixed some errors in the database.
