Hreflang with country code

Recommended Posts

Can I specify a country code in addition to a language in PrestaShop 1.6 ?

I'm using three languages - German, Slovak an English.

I would like my hreflang to be sk-sk, de-de and en -> Slovak language would be bound geographically to Slovakia, German language to Germany and English would be universal.

I want to do this so that search engines can properly display my eshop in the search results.

More info about hreflang from Google

PrestaShop supports IETF language codes.

I would set the IETF language codes (back office), the visit your front office with that language and then look at page source to see if tags are what you desire.

Let us know, I will try to test on later versions of ps.

Thanks for posting this, I am looking at native PrestaShop and it does not support  the hreflang attribute.  One of my interests is localization.  I am looking at how to incorporate this into native PrestaShop and will report back with results (note traveling for several weeks so my development time is difficult to come by.)

Found this hreflang module that should solve the issue, testing it now:

http://www.matteobononi.it/prestashop_module_hreflang.php

Hreflang syntax was added correctly on my product pages.

To edit the ISO code and the lanuage code, go to "localization" -> "Languages".

The only problem is that it always shows the default currency on every page, which means the price may not match the region (rich snippets show Euro on Hungarian pages instead of Forint).

Any news on this?

This should be solved by Prestashop and implemented by default.

By default presta not suporting multilanguage as it should.

https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6059209 none of this metods is used.
