Discount code not being applied in shopping cart

Hi, I'm having an issue with a product discount code not being applied in my checkout but it's visible in the shopping cart menu in the top right hand side of the shop. If I enter it again it says that it was already applied and it's then visible in the checkout. Any ideas why this is happening? It seems like the checkout is not refreshing properly to make the discount visible.

i don't see any code in the top right hand of the shop.

what prestashop version you use? some versions like 1.5.2 / 1.5.3 have got some serious problems with cart rules system

Hi, Thanks for replying. I'm running version 1.5.6.1. I didn't explain properly originally. My problem is that the checkout is not being updated after the discount code is applied but it's visible in the shopping cart in the top right corner. if you add a size and then use the code: powerman

it's supposed to reduce it to 450 dkk. It shows up in the small shopping cart in the top right but not on the main check out page. It seems like it's not refreshing after the code is entered?
