I'm looking at Prestashop and Magento for our new ecommerce site.

I'm having trouble finding a free sagepay module for prestashop, is there such a thing ?

I know magento have a free one, so assumed (!) that prestashop would as well.

Thanks

Grrrrrr... I wish I'd found this out before spending ages looking at prestashop.

I assumed prestashop would be like cs-cart or magento where you just click install and boosh.. the module is installed.. without having to go near your wallet !

Thanks for the quick reply, not what I wanted to hear though :-(

not sure what direct is...

Honestly...'partner'...more like partners in crime...jajaja

I know there is loads of work in the high end sage page module...and if I didn't mind making 29 cents an hour I would charge a lot more for my modules so I shall not say anything else...

I think "direct" is where you process the transaction on your website without have to pop over to the sagepay site.

A lot more involved and more intense checking for pci compliance I believe.

The other method is "form" and when the customer clicks the final order button you're taken to the sagepay site to add your card details etc, then returned to your website for confirmation of order.

and I noticed you can get free shell sagepay for other cms ecommerce..but you got to pay to get the entire enchilada...so it's a bit unfair to target ps developer  for this practice alone. :)

The other systems I've looked at are cs-cart and magento and they both have free sagepay modules that work beautifully.

Thats why I was a bit surprised to see the cost of a sagepay prestashop module.

Its beginning to look like to get ps up and running is going to cost mega bucks !.... so much for free !

I do not see the more robust sage page for any ecommerce free.  But for the serious shop owners...this looks to be a very good module and supprots multi-shop so they are not going to nick you for more than one shop.

uhm...like this 'free' one?

http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/ebizmarts-sage-pay-suite-ce-europe-free-sagepay-official-extension.html

the commercial version is 265usd

but none the less, there are many choices for ecommerce...and the developers all have to eat and put kids through college...so none of them are wordpress..jajajajaja
