500 server error on frontend after upgrade to 1.6

Hello,

I have upgraded a shop from v1.5.6.2 to v1.6 (latest) via the 1-Click upgrade.  All went well however after re-enabling the shop the homepage is not being displayed.  Instead I get the message '500 Server Error'.

I can log into the back end and edit products and other pasts of the store.

I decided to disable the shop via Preferences / Maintenance option.  Instead of displaying a message about the shop being down for maintenance, I still get the 500 server error.

Can anyone tell me how I can sort this out?

Any help appreciated.

Luther

Hello Synthesis,

That's fix it.  Many Thanks.

By the way for anyone else who may have this issue, the themes are in Preferences / Themes.

Why wouldn't the theme be enabled as a default?

Hi,

i have the same problem.

But i have manually upgraded from 1.5 version.

If i try to apply the theme i get a white page with this web address:

http://www.mysite.it/adminxxx/index.php?controller=AdminThemes&action=ThemeInstall&token=fa5772a9b8af06681c4b8a49155bb1f5

How can i solve this?
