Two questions after fixing header

Hi everyone,

With the use of the tutorial written by Vekia to make a fixed header, and the solutions provided here on the forum regarding the firefox-issue I was able to make my header fixed.

Regarding this I have two questions.

I am now looking for a way to make the distance between the horizontal menu and the body/content a little bit smaller, but I do not know where to edit the code for it.

So my first question is: How do I change this?


My second question is: How can I add a picture to the fixed header? Before I made a fixed header I used a module to add/change background (the backgound was transparant and now it is white). The picture I use was only a small banner in the middle and at the top of my pages, which you can see in the clone site mentioned hereunder.

After making the fixed header, the space under the horizontal menu is now bigger, so I would like to make it smaller again.
