PrestaHeroes USA Posted December 8, 2013 Share Posted December 8, 2013 depends on one's budget. vps makes most of us happy as we have many more options as compared to shared.... the main key of shared is if they allow browser cache, many shared don't, simply because it slows the site down and gives us reason to upgrade to say vps.... I can do cloud caching for $15/month on a shared server, however I noticed the site is quite faster since I have a dedicated IP and don't need caching for now, it's a small site with little traffic. I moved from Netfirms where my site was on CRE Loaded (OS Commerce) to Bluehost now as Netfirms does not support SOAP on shared servers (needed for the FedEx module). Overall it works and is cheap except that I have an annoying java script issue not resolved yet.
