hippooflove
Morning allAround 18hrs ago (saturday 1pm) my site, back office and C Panel have become unavailable. I am unable to find them on the internet. Unfortunately as I bought the site off a suspected rouge business (on ebay) I do not know who or where my server is. I can only find on WHOIS that they are : ns1.flyhosts.co.uk and ns2.flyhosts.co.uk.this means nothing to me. I have paid for the sever until Jan 2010.What should I do. how do I find if they have closed the server or are doing repairs. Is it possible to get somebody else just to swap and become my provider in the UK.Also I am assuming that it is a server issue as all three addresses do not work.Look forward to your help and advice.Hippooflove
chrissie
Who's your domain name registered with? Can't you change the nameservers yourself via their website?

first1
If you are running a business, you should have control over the name servers and the domain registrar account! because if you do have that in you name then you can change the hosting at anytime! mazarin07
Imho Flyhost is somewhat related to the defunct Registerfly, that swindled the money of a lot of users. They simply liquidated their business and left all the people in the air, just recommending them to transfer their account to goDaddy, but the credits were lost, you had to pay again.See also the Wiki article on Registerfly. SteveW1805
A word of caution. The cheapest option is not always the best.I had a problem with FatCow who are a reputable company. However the server connection was timing out when people tried to pay.So make sure your server has enough "beef" to manage the payment gateway interfaces.S
